From December 6 to 10 of this year, Poland will host the 16th Annual Internet Governance Forum (UN IGF 2021), a multi-stakeholder group under the United Nations. The Forum brings together all stakeholders (representatives of governments, private sector, civil society, and academic community) from the Internet governance debate to facilitate the discussion of public policy issues related to the Internet.
We are happy to announce that the High Representative of the Prime Minister for European Digital Policy and Poland's Plenipotentiary for UN IGF 2021 Mr. Krzysztof Szubert, President of the Management Board of NCBR Investment Fund, has accepted our invitation to meet AmCham members on June 30.
The pandemic has explicitly highlighted the strategic importance of digital technologies and the need to work with businesses. During the meeting, we would like to talk about the main challenges and opportunities associated with digital transformation and recommendations for the proper management of technologies (artificial intelligence, 5G) in the context of their regulation or supervision. We would also like to discuss briefly the role of business in shaping the UN IGF agenda.
The meeting will last from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and will be held in Polish with a presentation prepared in English.
