Proper waste management has been an issue in the spotlight when it comes to the shift in legal regulations and the necessity to meet EU requirements. This regulatory shift poses a significant challenge for businesses, in particular for those, who manage industrial waste, where the new solutions will affect entities from different industries and implicate notable costs.
On behalf of the AmCham Industry Committee, we invite you to a discussion meeting about "The Regulatory Challenges of Environmental Protection and Waste Management." Our speakers will be representatives from EY, an AmCham member company. Mr. Zbigniew Liptak, Partner and Head of Regulatory Advisory Team; Ms. Patrycja Sałagan, Environment Manager and Ms. Agnieszka Wierzbicka, Senior Environmental Specialist.
We will be discussing:
- The need to rationalize excessive regulatory burdens (selected environmental and waste management issues);
- Prolonged administrative proceedings for issuing permits in the investment process;
- Extended Producer Responsibility;
- Present solutions to key regulatory burdens as well as the potential of waste management in the light of the circular economy.
The goal of the meeting is to develop a set of priority issues common to AmCham members that can then be conveyed to the government.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, January 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
09:30 - 09:40
