On behalf of the AmCham Real Estate Committee, we invite you to a webinar on "The Effects of COVID-19 on Online Shopping and Industrial Space Demand". Our speakers will be Ms. Joanna Sinkiewicz, Partner, Head of Industrial & Logistics Agency, Cushman & Wakefield; Mr. Mathieu Giguere, Director, Key Accounts & New Business Development, Panattoni; Mr. Łukasz Turczyński, Global Accounts & SME Market Sales Director, InPost and Artur Łakomiec, CEO of Gemini Polska. The webinar will be moderated by Mr. Bolesław Kołodziejczyk, Head of Research & Advisory at Cresa Poland.

Mathieu Giguere has a strong track record in real estate portfolio and transaction management spanning over more than 30 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. His professional career began in 2000 at Cushman & Wakefield, where he managed the advisory department. In 2006, he was promoted to Managing Director and Head of the Alliance programme for EMEA markets (Europe, Middle East, Africa), and in 2008 he came back to lead the Capital Markets Team in Poland. Mathieu then move to the client-side, working for German retailer Tchibo, where he was responsible for property portfolio management and retail expansion throughout Poland. In 2014, he joined Amazon, where he stayed for four years. As Senior Manager /Head of Real Estate, he was responsible for the expansion and management of Amazon’s real estate portfolio in three different regions CEE, SEU and MENA. Immediately prior to joining Panattoni, he served as Director of Real Estate Management at WeWork, with responsibility for the company’s expansion in the Central European markets. Mathieu Giguere graduated in Business Administration (majoring in Finance) from HEC Montreal University, before moving to Europe where he past the last 20 years.

His professional career has been most of the time associated with executive roles in manufacturing companies and supervising PE investments in manufacturing and service companies in Poland. In the years 1993–1996 Artur was a consultant at Bain & Company dealing with consulting in the field of strategy, restructuring, EU sponsored and ministerial privatization projects. In 1997 acting as a co-founder of hyperwash S.A. he was responsible for launching the European franchisor on the Polish market in the carwash service. In the same year as an independent consultant he was preparing strategies and investment programs of EUR 30 m for the manufacturing companies Drumet S.A. and Agnella S.A. Consequently, in 1997-2004 he was acting as the CEO and MD of a carpet manufacturer "Agnella S.A." In 2005 as a CEO and MD he spearheaded restructuring of Stolarka Wołomin S.A. From 2006 to 2008 Łakomiec was the President of the Management Board and Managing Director at Bolix S.A, an Advent Int’l PE portfolio company. During the next 8 years he was operating partner in two PE funds (Highlander Partners and Abris) in Poland and was involved in investing and supervising their portfolio companies.
In 2018 was employed by Gemini Polska Sp. z o.o., a Warburg Pincus PE portfolio company. A graduate of The University of Chicago - Booth School of Business and the Warsaw School of Economics.
