Agnieszka's practice focuses on public commercial law and state aid for entrepreneurs in conjunction with tax law issues. She heads the cross-practice teams advising clients on legal, tax and state aid issues. She has many years of experience in handling disputes with the tax authorities, representing taxpayers during tax inspections, developing strategies and representing clients before the administrative courts. Every year she acts as the attorney-in-fact in approximately 40 successful tax cases, including many which constitute precedents or pioneering cases.
Agnieszka also handles disputes in practice areas other than tax: actions for damages, proceedings related to energy law and proceedings concerning state aid. She has implemented a number of projects for investors benefitting from state aid at each level of investment and use of state aid. She has prepared numerous legal analyses on the admissibility of state aid from various sources.
Agnieszka is the author of a book on the legal and tax aspects of state aid in special economic zones. She also edited a commentary on the Tax Ordinance Act and articles that were published in the Polish and foreign press. She is a graduate of the Jagiellonian University (1995). In 2009 she also completed the Advanced Management Program at IESE Business School in Barcelona.
In daily newspaper Dziennik Gazeta Prawna's ranking of Tax Firms and Advisers, she was awarded the 'best tax adviser' in the litigation category 2018 (also in previous years, 2013 and 2014 respectively). In daily newspaper Rzeczpospolita's 9th ranking of Tax Advisory Firms in 2015, she was awarded the title of a leader in the field of tax proceedings. In 2016 she was announced one of the most influential people in Polish law, according to monthly magazine Gentleman.
