We would like to cordially invite you to our fist monthly meeting in 2022 featuring a panel of experts speaking about the economic outlook for Poland in the upcoming year.
The Polish economy started to rebound in 2021 and is still adjusting to the new reality. Yet, businesses are now focusing on challenges such as inflation, labor shortages, raw material shortages, rising energy costs, and disruption in supply chains. These problems have been exposed even more clearly by the current pandemic and transnational climate goals, the oversupply of money on the market, or the persistent transport problems in international trade.
During the experts' panel, we would like to hear the voice of experts about the current challenges facing the Polish economy, as well as their comments about the economic outlook for the coming year. We are interested in hearing what market indicators such as GDP growth, employment, inflation, gross fixed capital, and other key economic indicators tell us about the current economic conditions and the symptoms of the economic recovery. We are also interested in hearing experts' comments on what businesses and the government must do to put the economy and their organizations back on the path to growth while still under uncertainty and risk.
Our panel of experts will include: Cristina Savescu, Senior Economist for Poland and EU countries at the World Bank; Michał Dybuła, Chief Economist at BNP Paribas Bank and Paweł Wojciechowski, Chief Economist at Polska 2020. The panel will be moderated by Tony Housh, AmCham Chairman, and Eliza Przeździecka, AmCham Chief Economist.
The meeting will be held on January 12, 2022, from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Marriott Hotel (Baltic Room).
Due to the challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting will be limited to vaccinated guests only. The condition for live participation in the meeting is to present a certificate of complete vaccination against COVID-19, or a proof of recovery (digital or paper), or a negative coronavirus test issued by a medical facility, which cannot be older than 24 hours. Please remember to take the appropriate document with you.
