We invite you to a unique meeting in Krakow on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 9:00 to 11:45. The meeting will combine a networking opportunity in the CANPACK office in Krakow with AmCham Industry Committee meeting dedicated to CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) run by PwC experts in a hybrid mode.
During the first part of the meeting, we will have a chance to learn more about CANPACK – a global manufacturer of sustainable packaging solutions, employing over 9,000 employees in 28 plants worldwide. Additionally, a guided and hands-on tour of the Experience Area will be a unique opportunity to explore company's broad product portfolio and to enjoy a great view of Krakow Center.
After a short break, we invite all the guests who will join us LIVE in Krakow together with our ONLINE guests for an AmCham Industry Committee meeting dedicated to CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism). Starting October 1, 2023, the first CBAM reporting obligations for companies will enter into force. In phase 2 – beginning January 1, 2026, importers will be required to purchase CBAM certificates in the amount corresponding to the emissions resulting from the production of goods and to submit annual CBAM declarations. As there is no CBAM practice on the market, we want to ask our PwC Experts: Przemysław Januchta, Daniel Maryjosz and Tomasz M. Orłowski not only to present the review of regulations but also to share with us potential threats and opportunities CBAM brings.
Following the presentation, we will open a floor to our live and online guests to share your CBAM experiences with others, including your level of readiness for the new regulations preparations taken by your organization, and to ask the questions that will help meeting participants define their CBAM strategies.
