2023 will see significant changes to the Polish employment scene, and HR departments will have their hands full. Following our last meeting on implementing an effective remote working strategy, we invite you to two meetings about the upcoming Labor Code changes triggered by the Work-Life Balance Directive and Transparent and the Predictable Working Conditions Directive.
Work-Life Balance Directive's main goal is to ensure professional and private life balance and eliminate employment inequalities. Our second meeting addresses the new rights acquired by parents and carers, as well as the new obligations of employers.
On behalf of the AmCham HR Committee, we invite you to a meeting entitled Work-Life Balance for Parents and Carers – What Employers Need to Know and How to Prepare for the Upcoming Labor Code Changes! Our speaker will be Ms. Zuzanna Rosner-Laskorzyńska, Senior Associate at Squire Patton Boggs Krześniak, a labor and employment law expert, and co-author of the Parent-Employees Rights publication.
We will discuss the changes brought about by the Directive and how to prepare for them, including:
- Additional unpaid carers' leave;
- Additional time off due to force majeure;
- Enhanced parental leave and protections against termination;
- Right to flexible work arrangements;
- Other changes.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, April 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. For better networking and discussion, we encourage you to attend this meeting live in the AmCham office, Spektrum Tower, ul. Twarda 18, 16th floor (live tickets are limited to 20 people, for those registering live, we ask you to click the live ticket). The Webex link will be sent to all online attendants before the event. Please note that the meeting will be held in Polish.
