Event Details
We are pleased to invite you to our on-line AmCham Monthly Meeting on Wednesday, November 4th, from 9:00 a.m. Our guest speaker will be the newly appointed Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development, Labor and Technology, Ms. Iwona Michałek. AmCham Chairman, Tony Housh will lead the discussion focused on the current priorities of the Ministry and topics important to foreign investors in the times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
We would like to talk to Minister Michałek about the current situation on the labor market and the changes to the Polish Labour Law aiming to extend provisions on remote work.
The future of the social security system in Poland is also a very important topic for AmCham member companies. There are signals that the idea of abolishing the limit under which the obligation to pay social security contributions is lifted (so called "ZUS cap") is coming back. AmCham is against the abolition of the upper limit for social security contributions since it will impact labor costs and attractiveness of Poland as an investment destination. We would like to address our concerns with Minister Michałek.
Moreover, during the meeting, we would like to discuss how to keep the Polish market attractive for foreign investors in response to the impact of COVID-19 and underline the need for a bigger focus on large enterprises, increase job support aid and not imposing new fiscal burdens.
We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, November 4th, from 9:00 a.m. All registrants will receive an access link after the registration closes.
