Event Details
Dear Sir or Madam,
We are pleased to invite you to our AmCham on-line meetingabout the changes to the Polish Labor Law aiming to extend provisions on remote work with the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development, Labor and Technology, Ms. Iwona Michałek. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, December 8th, 12:30-14:00 via the Webex platform.
We would like to have a dialogue with the Minister about the current changes to the Polish Labor Law and present to her our recommendations on how to extend provisions on remote work, make relations with employees more flexible, and support employees' health & safety in the times of pandemic. We also want to present our concerns regarding the future of the social security system. There are signals that the idea of abolishing the limit under which the obligation to pay social security contributions is lifted (so called "ZUS cap") is coming back. AmCham is against the abolition of the upper limit for social security contributions since it will impact labor costs and the attractiveness of Poland as an investment destination.
The date of the event was chosen due to the Minister's tight calendar, hence the short invitation notice to the meeting. After your confirmation, you will receive a link and have access to the connection with login instructions.
As this month AmCham ends its leadership of the International Group of Chamber of Commerce in Poland, we have extended this invitation to the directors of other chambers as well.
During the meeting there will be a chat function for questions, however, our guest would appreciate getting questions and/or issues before the meeting. We would kindly ask you to send your questions to Karol Witaszek, e-mail: karol.witaszek@amcham.pl by Monday, December 7, by 2:00 p.m.
The meeting will be held in Polish with English translation provided – please choose the correct ticket!
Best regards,
